Award Winning Pro joins Team at Killarney
David joins Killarney Golf & Fishing Club from Charleville Golf Club where he was Pro for a number of years. David is a class AAT PGA Professional well known throughout Ireland as being one of Ireland's leading Club Professionals, specialising in Golf Instruction and Custom Club Fitting.
In 2003 David was Callaway Golf Club Fitter of the Year - the first and currently only Irish man to win this prestigious international award. As well as fitting professional players he also custom fits amateur plays of all levels and is the official Callaway Golf Club fitter for the Munster branch of the GUI.
The newly appointed General Manager, Maurice O'Meara was one of the first to welcome David to the Club "There has been such positive feedback on David's appointment with members as well as the wider golfing community. David has such a quality reputation on a national and international level and I know he will be a fantastic addition to our team at Killarney Golf & Fishing Club. He comes with a wealth of knowledge and expertise and this will be of great benefit to our members as well as the many visitors we have to the Club."
David is looking forward to the weeks and months ahead as he develops the new facilities for Golfers at the Club. In the coming weeks, David will be introducing sophisticated computer based technology to the Club which David will use to analyse a golfers' swing and to determine the ideal custom club to suit each individual golfer.
David also has an esteemed reputation as a Golf Coach and has coached many Munster teams. Again, using state of the art technology he can develop each "unique swing" and help golfers of all levels to reach their full potential. "I am really delighted to becoming part of such a prestigious Club as Killarney Golf & Fishing Club, a club with unique history and heritage. I already work with many of the Club's members and look forward to seeing them a lot more now as I am on their doorstep as well as getting to know the many more members and visitors that I hope to be seeing on a regular basis at the Club."
