Tony Coveney, Head Professional Academy Director & Golf Shop Manager

  • Head professional and Director of The Golf Shop and the Golf Academy , Tony is one of Irelands leading golf Professionals.
  • A former Assistant to the legendary Henry Cotton (3 times Open Champion), Tony has coached many famous players both National and International.
  • He played on the European Tour 1965-1966 and was also a member of the Seniors Tour 1991-1998. During his time on the Seniors Tour he distinguished himself as a ball striker of quality.
  • His main achievements on Tour were 3rd Tunisian Open (1992), 12th PGA Championship (1992), 8th Spanish Open (1993) and top 30 British Open (1994) and many other top 20 finishes on the Seniors Tour.
  • Tony joined Killarney Golf & Fishing Club in May 1967 and during his time has shot 66 on a number of occasions; one of these occasions in a match with the famous Bing Crosby in 1969 and Tony has a career best of 65 on the Lackabane course in Killarney in 2003.


Keith Coveney, Assistant Shop Manager & Assistant Academy Director

  • Keith qualified as a PGA Professional at Killarney Golf & Fishing Club in 1998.
  • In 2000 he emigrated to Europe where he was part of a successful Golf Academy under David Shaw at the Popular Zell Am See golf resort in Austria .
  • He then moved to the prestigious club of Montecastillo in Southern Spain where he furthered his skills and knowledge under Don Ross at the Feel Golf Academy .
  • His next move took him to Germany where he worked a season in Golf Club Möhnesee under Susan Moorcraft before taking up his own post as Head Professional at the Werl Golf Club. He was a member of the Board involved in all aspects of the Golf Club. He carried out various Junior Programmes and corporate work.
  • His career best is 65.
  • In July 2004 he won his first tournament as a professional.
  • He speaks both German and Spanish.
